Take a seat by the fire.

Close your eyes. Take a breath.
Feel the warmth on your skin, see the dancing of the smoke, the rhythm of the flame, and listen. Not just with your ears, but with the part of you that remembers. The part that knows the land beneath you, the stars above you, and the space in between Us-All. This is where it begins.

The VA Network is a not-for-profit streaming platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of Indigenous and First Nations peoples and their allies from all around the world and giving back to the communities from where they came. Through the power of storytelling, film, art, and song we promote cultural preservation, foster global connection, and inspire action for conservation, understanding, and collective healing whilst passing down the only tool that matters, that will last, and always be relevant: Good Story.

The VA Network is the world’s first streaming platform grounding its stories on Native Lands, sharing story rooted in place, spoken in relation, held in obligation, guided by the knowledge keepers who hold the law of the land. As it was always meant to be, as it always should be.

Every story shared, every voice uplifted, and every relationship formed fuels a movement to honour the past, heal the present, and inspire a more connected future.

Beside the campfire is where stories are nurtured and shared, where they rise like sparks into the night carrying wisdom from the past into the future, from ancestors to descdants, from generation to generation, calling us back to remember our role as custodians of creation.

A Space Where Stories Find Their Place, Voices Are Honored, & Knowledge Lives On.

The Fire is Lit. The Stories Are Waiting

For tens of thousands of years, stories have been carried through firelight, passed down by those entrusted with their care. They were more than entertainment. They were the history, the law, the repositories for not the what, but the how, not the things, but the ways of knowing and being in this world. But in our modern world, a time-place that moves too fast, many of these stories have been taken, stolen, lost. They have been severed from the lands and people they belong to. They have been taken out of relation.

The VA Network exists to help restore that balance.

The VA Network is a unique digital platform, a gathering place, a movement, a digital campfire that amplifies Indigenous voices, knowledge keepers, and truth-tellers through film, series, podcasts, articles, and conversations that are rooted in place, in truth, and in lore. Right story, shared right way, inviting reflection, sparking conversation, building bridges across cultures, and inspiring action.

Telling good story that is born from Country and community is how we change the world. That is how we bring the world back into relation.

We invite you, from all corners of the earth, to gather around the fire.
To Listen. To learn. To Love. And to carry the embers forward.

That is our role. It always has been. It’s time we remember who we are.

We move forward. Not alone, but together. As one people, one story, one fire.

the path to rebecoming custodians of creation

Stories are the meditjin. They are the medicine for a world in crisis. They have the power to heal, to guide, and to transform. Stories are the breath of the land, the heartbeat of the people, and the sacred thread that ties us to the past while binding a future rooted in respect and balance. Each story is a seed, carrying lessons that grow stronger as they pass through the hands, hearts, and minds of each generation. They remind us of who we are, and invite us to become who we are meant to be.

The VA Network was born from this understanding, this need to tak the deep, ancient lore of the land, its stories, its protocols, its relational intelligence, and braiding it with the sharp edges of the present, even the wild possibilities of the future. We need a place to do that.

That is why we call this a digital campfire. A place where the world can gather and share good story right way. It’s not about archiving wisdom. It’s about bringing it to life. It’s about providing space where knowledge breathes, increases, and expands not only what is known, but what can be known. Igniting a fire that sparks new ways of thinking, new ways of being, and new ways of relating to the land, to each other, and to the great web of existence.

This is the call to re-member. To put the pieces back together. To understand that the future is not a blank slate, but a continuation of a story that began long, long ago. By weaving the ancient lore with the best of our present and the brightest of our future, we don’t just save the land; we save ourselves.

The land is waiting for us to remember our place, to pick up the threads, and to begin the great weaving anew. Are you ready to sit by the fire, to listen deeply, and to see the world through the lens of native peoples around the world, sharing their ways as passed through many hands with care around campfires since time begun.

Stories from the spaces in-between

Everything we are, everything we know, lives within the web of our relations.

In Samoa, that space is called the VA.

The sacred spaces in-between all things. Not a space that separates but relates. The space where meaning is made, and all knowledge is stored. It is the heartbeat of reciprocity, the rhythm of respect, the sacred current that ties land to people, people to spirit, and past to future through the choices we make. This is where all the worlds’ wisdom resides. Not locked in static facts in books, but in the living relationships we nurture with all the human and nonhuman entities in a landscape.

Everything we are, everything we do, is woven into the great, ever-shifting pattern of creation. This has been known by different cultures all over the world, known by different names, different symbols, different metaphors, but always known. Since before time was counted stories have been the vessels of wisdom, the maps that guide us, the songs that carry us. They teach us values, offer perspectives, and help us remember the balance we’ve forgotten. Through stories, we are guided back to our role not as takers or owners, but as custodians of creation, responsible for tending the web of life that holds us all.

Step into Story. Step into Place. Step into right relation.

The land is not merely inert matter beneath our feet, it is a living archive, a vast repository of memory, language, law, and story. It is the foundational essence from which all existence springs, holding within its embrace the echoes of time and the blueprints of being. Every contour of the earth, every flowing river, every ancient mountain, every whispering tree, and every silent stone carries a profound knowledge, a unique song, a deep remembrance, a hushed narrative, and a secret wisdom that unveils itself when we quiet our own clamor and truly listen.
Authentic story is not an abstract construct but an organic extension of its place. It is through this intrinsic connection to the land that stories find their true resonance, their proper discovery, their respectful sharing, and their ultimate honor. This profound understanding inspired of the VA Explorer, the world’s first streaming platform designed to ground its narratives in Native Lands, presenting them with their original titles and names, rather than superimposed modern interpretations.
Within the Explorer app, stories transcend mere recitation; they are carried, sung, and walked, embodying a reciprocal relationship where everything is held in right relation. This is story in its purest form, as it was always intended to be: deeply rooted in place, spoken in profound relation to the living world, held in sacred obligation to ancestral wisdom, and meticulously guided by the knowledge keepers who are the living embodiment of the land’s law.

Every action ripples outward, carrying light to places unseen.

The Story is Not Yours to Keep. It’s Yours to Carry

Story, and lore, is something you are given, something that you are entrusted with. It has weight, a purpose. It moves through you like a current, changing you as it passes from hand to hand, shaped by those who receive it, hold it, and pass it on.

The VA Network is not just a place where stories are told but a space where they live, where they breathe, where they find their way home. Every person who gathers here to listen, to tell, or to support enters into a sacred exchange, and takes that step into right relation.

Our purpose is to amplify the the voices of the world’s Indigenous and First Nations peoples, foster cultural preservation, global conversation, collective understanding and healing through the unparalleled power of authentic storytelling and narrative sovereignty grounded in native lands and ways. When you engage with a story at this campfire you are not consuming it, you are stepping into relation with it. You are carrying something forward. You are participating in the continuation of knowledge carried through generations, ensuring it does not fade, but strengthens.

We are the ancestors of the future, and we stand at a turning point. Every action we take, every choice we make, ripples outward, touching lives, shaping ecosystems, and influencing the future.

This is our responsibility. Not a choice, not a mission statement, but an obligation to those who will come after us. It’s something I was asked to do, and I’ll spend what remains of my life taking a few steps forward, knowing those who come after will carry it much further than I ever could. That’s the way it works. Each of us just carries our piece for a time.

The way forward isn’t something we invent. It’s something we remember. It’s already within us. It always has been.

The fire burns brightly so the stories live on, so the wisdom of the land continues to guide us into a future rooted in care, balance, and belonging.

A promise of purpose over profit

Our mission never was and never will be driven by profit, but by purpose. We are a not-for-profit project because the work we do cannot and should not be measured by financial gain, nor should it be kept behind a paywall. Our purpose goes beyond the bottom line and is rooted in the belief that every story matters, that every community deserves the opportunity to thrive, that every member, even its youngest ones, can make the biggest difference.

We give because these stories were given to us. They are not ours to keep. They belong to the people, to the land, to the children yet to come. Every dollar that flows through this project is treated the same way. it is something entrusted to us to be put back into community, into healing, into creating spaces where voices long silenced can speak again.

We operate as a not-for-profit because it is a reflection of the lore, the stories, the communities, the people and the land that guide us. By donating all our funding to artists, creators, projects, programs and initiatives allows us to stay true to our values, and what was asked of us by our elders. It ensures that our resources, energy, and focus are directed toward empowering the youth, supporting communities, and nurturing the creative expression of those whose voices have too often been marginalized, silenced, or drowned out. We exist to serve, to uplift, to empower, and to connect. We are accountable to the communities we serve, not to shareholders.

This accountability to the lore ensures that every decision we make is in the best interest of those who entrust us with their stories, their hopes, and their futures.

Increasing What is known.
Increasing What Can be known.

It’s not about the What but the How. Not about the Things but the Ways. Ways of being, ways of thinking, ways of growing together. This campfire is not here to hold knowledge.
It is here to increase what can be known.

By embracing Indigenous ways of knowing we can remember how to live well, in balance, in relation. These ways aren’t about hoarding wisdom; they are about honoring the space in between and increasing the number of relations we hold. The truth doesn’t sit with one person or one perspective. It sits within the aggregate, in the shared yarns, the collective braiding of stories that build consensus. We all hold a piece of the pattern of creation. We just have to bring them all together, to share our stories freely, and remember that we are all one.
One planet. One people. One fire.

Come sit with us around the fire. Bring your story, your experience, your truth, your contribution to the pyre. Together let us build something that goes beyond entertainment, something that connects, that heals, that moves us all forward to the future we all want, we all dream, and we can all have, if we remember who we are. This isn’t just a campfire. It is a call to remember who we are and who we are meant to be, to step back into our role as custodians of creation.

The fire is lit. The circle is open. The rest is up to Us.
