Caitlin Adeyemi is a Nigerian-British model and photographer whose work bridges the worlds of high fashion and cultural storytelling. Born to a Yoruba mother and British father, she grew up moving between Lagos and London, deeply influenced by the visual contrasts of both cities. She began modeling as a teenager, walking for international brands, but soon turned the camera onto herself and her people, using photography as a way to reclaim narratives around Black beauty, heritage, and identity.

Her photographic work is heavily inspired by Yoruba aesthetics—traditional beadwork, Gele headwraps, and the striking body language of ancestral sculptures. Through self-portraiture and editorial photography, Caitlin captures the intersections of modern African identity, challenging Eurocentric beauty standards while celebrating the resilience and elegance of Indigenous Yoruba traditions.

Beyond fashion, Caitlin documents street life and everyday moments in Lagos, focusing on market women, young artists, and the changing face of urban Nigeria. Her series Orí Inu (“Inner Head”) explores the spiritual dimensions of Yoruba identity through surreal, dreamlike compositions that blend photography with digital art.

Caitlin’s work has been featured in Afropunk, Vogue Africa, and international art exhibitions dedicated to decolonial storytelling. She continues to model while mentoring young African photographers in reclaiming visual narratives through the lens of cultural pride and self-representation.
